In order to become a Rancho Cucamonga Police Officer, you need to apply and go through the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Academy. The City of Rancho Cucamonga contracts with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for their law enforcement agents, and as such, do not have a City owned Police Department. However, the County Sheriff’s Department is always looking for good men and women who want a career in the criminal justice field as deputies, criminal analysts, forensic scientists, and numerous other career opportunities with the SBCSD.
